Greentree Financial - Conseco ripoff Bait & Switch, Exorbitant Interest Rate, Show No Mercy attitude on job loss, disrespectful, demoralizing, deceitful, relentless

My husband lost his position as vice-president of his company when they filed bankruptcy, and he was job searching for 3 months. He finally found employment at 1/2 his former pay. Needless to say we were financially strapped.

Attempts to stay current, even with my returning to work, began to prove impossible. We couldn't sell, because the 1st and 2nd mortgage made a sale impossible in a development where homes were being built.

We received harassing phone calls, beginning at 8:01 A.M., and ending at 9:45 at night. We were told we were losers, they were coming to get our home, they would file ahead of our first lender, why don't we file bankruptcy, etc., etc. They would call over and over again throughout the night.

We bounced checks due to their deceptive collection promises. After 4 years, with $410.00 per month payments on a 34,000 loan, we were told our payoff is $41,000. I figure we have paid them $19,680 already. Beware. Do not get loans from green tree!
