Ripoff The government need to crack down on companies like this who sucker consumer into agreement to make more money and they give you monthly rates they know you cannot afford

Last July New York City had a massive layoffs of city workers who did not have civilservice title. I had taken the city examine in 1984 and pass, but had several increase in salary. Due to clerical error I recieved a layoff notice, which cause me to be taken off of payroll.

In the meantime I was 90 days behind in mortgage payments. I spoke to EMC mortgage to let them know what was going on. They made up a foreberance agreement in November, where I had to put a down payment of $1100 and make payment for 12 months of $650. I've recently got a modification of my mortgage after the forebearance agreement ends for $825 a month, which included the taxes for 02 which was included in the forebearance agreement. But according to the modification they said I still owe them this money beacuse my forebearance agreement only covers principles & interest.

I was not paying enough to cover the taxes. So now I owe them 2,498 plus 03,04 tax money and insurance money which now total up to 6,134.00 and $2000 in principle & interest that still needs to be paid. So they want me to pay mortgage and all the back money I owe them and I was told if I donot agree to this loan modification I will be put back into foreclosure statics again.

The government need to crack down on companies like this who sucker consumer into agreement to make more money and they give you monthly rates they know you cannot afford. This company needs to be brought to court this is injustice to humanity.
