Ripoff

I was contacted by this company in October and told that I was pre-apporoved for a $5000 credit limit on a credit card. I was extreamely concerned because I know alot about credit and I know I shuldn't be apporoved for anything like that. I asked ALOT of questions. I asked if it was for a company catalog or if it was prepaid and both of the answers were no. She assured me that it was a credit card and I was going to recieve it in about a month.

I recieved some information I was supposed to complete but only after they had debited my account for 279.00. When I recieved this information I realized it was a pre-paid credit card and immediately contacted them and a man his name was Christopher James told me that they said it was a stored value card when they were asking my information for my account. So the whole time they were telling em it was a credit card until then and completely side tracked me!!! He wouldn't give me a phone number to the actual company (because they are only a call center) he told me to write a letter but I probably will not see my money again.

I can not believe this happened to me, What do I do?!?!?!?
