I received a call from DRS on 11/6 regarding a payday loan that I supposedly took out on 9/17. I asked the agent for information regarding this because it did not seem familiar. I asked who the original debtor was and I was told it was pay day. I said wht pay day. I was then told they didn't know. I asked other pertinant info such as the date the lan was taken out. I told the collection agen that I would call back.

After doing reserch into my finances from2007 I realized that I did not owe any payday loans. I called them back and tried to getmore info and was greeted by an agent that was not only nasty but said t was my responsibility to do due diligence. At that time I said all I wanted wa the nae of the original debter to call them and see what was going on but she refused to give me anything. Then she proceeded to hang up on me.

I called back to speak to someone else and was greeted by a manager with just as much venom as the two previous agents. I then stated that I had taken abstracts of my credit report ever year and this debt has never shown up. He tld me that I needed to hire a lawyer to do due diligence which is news to me. I have owed debts but when contacted by a debt recovery company was always given the pertinent info to settle the debt or prove that it was false. This is really new to me so I don't know how to handle.
