Do not buy these money orders without having this knowledge first

Do not purchase a WesternUnion money order if you think you might need to cash it.

Western Union will not tell you this prior to your purchase that 99% of their own agents will not cash their own money orders! If you buy one, then go to another location to cash it, it will not happen.

I travel, and I have purchased them so I did not have cash. I have tried to cash them and none of the WesternUnion agents will cash their own money orders, even if you have the receipt showing you purchased it.

So, if you do not have a bank account you are stuck with their money order. They have no problem taking your money but do not want to give it back.
