Sallie Mae - will give you a loan and then screw you over!

Sallie Mae SUCKS! First of all, they do not know how to even calculate how much you actually owe. My paper statements and my online statements didn't match, so my dad (who is a CPA) took a look - nothing made sense! Then, there is absolutely no communication. Not to mention, lowering payments with Sallie Mae is a PAIN! They want all this paper work proving that I'm not making that much money. The only ways anyone could afford they're crazy payments up front would be if 1. They didn't owe that much to begin with or 2. They had a fantastic job right out of college. Considering the economy, those two options are pretty slim. With my private loan, I was sent my bill two weeks prior to it being due so I had my little receipt to send in and I had the correct billing address = SUPER easy (Citibank in case anyone was wondering). My first payment for Sallie Mae was on a holiday, so a week before it's due - and I've heard NOTHING. So, I look up online where to send my payments, and there are two addresses. It was Russian Roulette! I assumed one payment went to one address and one went to the other. None of my payments were supposed to be sent to the Atlanta address. I get an e-mail this morning saying I now owe $350 because my payment is late. Why is my payment late? Because I sent the check to Georgia. Why did I send my check to Georgia? BECAUSE I NEVER RECEIVED A BILL! Thankfully I contacted the ONE person working there who knows what they're doing, and he was able to help me fix things. Except now I'm on forbearance until March with my other loan. Sallie Mae, get your stuff together!!! Your website is unclear, your employees (except one) don't know what they're doing, and you are clearly not in the business of helping anyone - you just want to screw poor kids over.
