Ripoff deceptive and manipulative

I recently had Alliance One start calling me about a debt I owed money on. The person wanted me to do exactly what she said even though it would fincially hurt me. I was told that I had to pay a SUBSTANTIAL amount of money with in 3 weeks. When I told her I couldn't come up with that money she started telling me that I just needed to borrow the money from people. I can't do that and I didn't know what to do.

2 days later I received a letter from Alliance One in the mail that said I only had to pay the amount of $726 so I was overjoyed because I could afford that. I called the lady so that we could set up a payment plan for this month. She then told me that because she had told me I needed to pay them a huge amount and I had agreed to find a way to pay it that anything I got in the mail even if it was from her company would be void and I couldn't pay that amount! I couldn't believe it. After trying to get her to let me pay the amount that was on the letter and not succeding I gave in to her because she made me believe there was no other way.

Now she tricked me into believing that I couldn't do anything and that I needed to do what she said. So I have an electronic check being sent to them at the end of this month. HOW CAN I STOP THIS? Can she really do that to me???
