Charged $300 in Fees on Card With $250 Limit After $49 Fee

I applied for a visa credit card with First National Bank of Marin I was told to send a $49 fee in and I would receive a credit card for a $250 limit I don't have good credit so that was fine with me. I received the card and about 3 days later received a bill for $300.

I was shocked because I had not charged anything on the card as of yet I called the credit card customer service and asked for an explanation they said I had a $129 fee for getting the card a $79 annual fee another fee for $100 fee for something else and then my finance charges. I asked her to cancel the account and she said that it could not be cancelled because I had sent the $49 fee and wanted the account.

I have never had something like that happen to me before that company is a rip off and need to be stopped. They have since sent my friends and family members pre approved letters for credit cards but I tell them don't get the card. I just wanted to let more people know about First National bank of Marin.
