Advantage Plus - Bank One Credit Card Issuer, Fraud, Illegal Wire Transfer, Theft Ripoff

I was contacted last week of July by an agent, identifying herself as Cherry Duncan (operator#70285) - representing Advantage Plus - and offering an Unsecured Visa card backed by Bank of America (BOA). I was told BOA had reviewed my credit app from last year and decided to offer me a line of credit, using Advantage Plus as the servicing agent.

For a processing fee of $339.15, I would receive a $10k LOC from BOA w / 3 years No Interest, and No Yearly Dues...

Sounded to good to be true - so I called the Customer Service number I was given, 866.890.2766, to verify the number and agent's number. Seemed legitimate.

Charge was made 2004.08.06. I have the wire info as to where the money went... Two weeks later I called to report I had not received the Visa CC yet - but all that remained was a recording machine. Left various messages - no call-back, obviously.

While looking for Advantage Plus on the internet, found this SCAM / FRAUD site! Thanks 'usacomplaints.com'!

My bank will provide information to the authorities and pursue what avenues they can. I'll participate with anyone who wants to go after these bastards...
