If you don't have an account with them... Beware of applying for a loan - Boat/RV Loans

We shopped around for boat/rv rates and found US Bank had some of the best rates published. However, after filling out an application we waited almost a week with no phone call or no return of our phone calls. We finally learned we were declined. With 750-800 credit scores, no late payments or negative information, we got 3 different answers as to why we were declined. 1. Didn't have enough info to value boat (but never called to get it) 2. We didn't have any history or banks accoutns with them so we were considered a risk 3. I was employeed at my current employer less than 2 years (however, i left my previous employer for a better job, more money, and there was no lapse in employment. We gave up and went to our credit union... Which, we should have done in the first place! It was a waste of time and we didn't find them to be professional in keeping us in the loop and not one person we spoke to had the same info.
