Told my husband that we are being sued for not paying back a loan. He stated that his name was Ronnie, Ronnie called my husband a S.O.B.! Internet

My husband received a phone call today from a man named "Ronnie". Ronnie told my husband that he was being sued for not paying back a loan. Ronnie said that we were given a loan which was deposited into our account and that if we didn't pay it back that we were going to be taken to court / sued. The number came up as a number from New York. Ronnie said that the loan was from CASH ADVANCE AMERICA. My husband did enter some information when we thought about applying for a loan awhile back, but he never finished the application. He started getting phone calls from companies offering to lend us money, but my husband told them to cancel the application because he was not interested. Well when my husband told Ronnie that he never took out a loan and that he was lying, Ronnie got very defensive and called my husband a S.O.B. And a F*&%$@! At that point I knew for sure that this was a scam. The number was (585) 641-4422 in ny, usa. We didn't fall for his scam, but it scares me to think of how many people do. He wanted us to give him permission to debit from our bank account the money that CASH ADVANCE AMERICA has lent us. Like we'd conveniently forget to pay a loan. WE NEVER TOOK OUT A LOAN! Ever! I immediately got on line to Google that company and FRAUD... Scam... Was one of the first things I saw. To think that this is going on makes me sick. We will never again put our phone numbers or personal info on any web page.
