Your Mortgage Rights
Total Misrepresentation

Business & Finance

We contacted the company after receiving a phone call and internet contact. They stated that they could help me with a loan modification request. After answering a few questions the representative stated that we fit the profile and should be able to qualify. They set me up with a "coach" and we proceeded to receive documents to begin the process. It took quite a while to get all of the paperwork together and we finally presented it to our "coach" via phone. After reviewing the income/expense form we were told that we did not qualify for the Federal program for loan modification and that now we had to deal directly with our Mortgage company for refinancing, something I told them up front that I wanted to advoid. We were given 14 days to cancel the program-it took that long to finalize the paperwork-when we did review the paperwork and found out that we didn't qualify for the program, we were told that the program was more for people behind in their mortgage and facing foreclosure. The coach then suggested we go through a program that the mortgage company offers for free.By the time we realized we were misled the company refused to refund any of our money. The presentation stated how they would help us through the process and basically paid for a service that is available for free by most mortgage companies. We wanted help because our home has lost half of its value with escrow costs ever-increasing. They deceived us into believing they could help-they were not honest in their presentation and it cost me big time. I will be seeking legal action against this oufit.
