MCM, Midland Credit, Credit Management, Inc, miland credit online these guys are hassleing - I was asked for help from a 70 year old woman

I intended to comment on the other post, i'm not sure if I have done that or started a new thread now. But Here Goes.
This company is contacting one of my nieghbors and her scared to death, I told her not to worry and I would see what I can do about all of this.

These guys are hounding this poor elderly lady and the only thing she ca think of the reason might be is that she co signed for a Grand child of hers so they could start a credit history. But that was over 9 years ago and she has not seen nor heard from this or any other company since then till now.

This company is unknown to her at all and teh amount they are requesting is well over 2200.00 - the grand child declares she has no clue what this could be for and I have seen her credit report and there is no defaults and no credit filed for that even comes close to this amount. The statment we recieved states teh origonal amount was just under 2 grand, makes no statement as to what the money was for, has no start date and lists the origional creditor as WEBBANK - neither my niegbor nor her grand daughter have ever heard of this place nor does the credit report we pulled for the grand daughter have any accounts by them.

How's that for crazy? What I see here is a total crazy scam. There is really no other explaination for this to be happening to this woman as far as I can tell.
