PHOTO WORLD CASTLE CREDIT ripoff they are definately after military people

When I was in Chicago Illinois first day after boot camp, one guy approached me with cheap sales pitch, said that if I listen to it I will get a free CD. Why not? I agreed to it.

He said, after that speech, that I can get a free camera and film if I just give him some information.
Ok. Time went by, I didn't receive any camera or film, and totally forgot about this.

Two years later I decided to by a car and was really surprised that I was turned down for a loan. After I ordered my credit report I saw Castle Credit reporting collection.

When I called them, all they said is that I signed a contract (which I did not).

I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau in Illinois. Castle credit responded "Mr. * signed a contract containing all terms of the contract. The merchandise was shipped to the address Mr. * provided. Nothing was returned.

If Mr. * has any questions he can certainly contact are (not misprint:) Customer Service Dept. We will be happy to work with him."

I called their "happy" Customer Service to no avail.
They don't want to provide any info, such as tracking # for shipment or anything. When I said that I recording this conversation, they hang up the phone.

I sent request by certified mail for this information, waiting to see if they respond.

Anyway, I see there is a lot of people being ripped-off by those companies. Maybe it is time to file a complaint with Federal Trade Comission, they have much more power then BBB.

Why they target military? In my personal opinion it is because we are rarely home and can't timely catch problem like this.

I guess if enough complaints filed with BBB and FTC, investigation will be started.
