Ripoff, bully tactics, not adhering to contract/conditions/shorted payoff

Back in March I was contacted via phone by a rep from Ameriquest Mortgage. He was sweet and began to talk to me about my credit rating and how I could improve on a better score. He also began to cross over into a suggestive personable way of dealing with me. I don't know if his latin accent had anything to do with it, but I started to tell him of my struggles, having raised 2 children alone. How I was stressed out as a nurse, and wanted to get my health back, lower my blood pressure ect. We talked frequently on the phone and He eventually drew up a "better" loan, as I had made a full year of payments on time. He even suggested we meet for some wine, and just how great of a cook he was.

He sent an assesor to my property, who didn't even go inside, she just took a snapshot of the house and backyard. She told me second refinances do not have to be so involved. She was here and gone within 5 mins.

Then this man (name with holding) sent me a truth in lending doc, and told me to call him the next day for the final figures. When I did, I was told he was fired. But someone else would carry on.

I was asigned to a young man, who talked fast and seemed nervous. He told me that the assessment done prior had to be redone as they could not find the paperwork done on my property. It was at this point things began to go into full swing. He promised a lower interest, and we discussed the conditions on the phone. The day before the closing he told me the notary would arrive, and that if anything was to occur, his office was alerted to make me a priority.

Then closing day, I recieved via FedEx documents. I was told NOT to open them until the notary arrived, because it would kill the deal. (he said I could change things) My head started to swim as things felt so wrong, yet, I waited for the notary. She arrived with her own contracts (now there were four) She was puzzled why he send his overnight, and he told me that. We went through her stack of paperwork and she picked up on the fact that I had requested to have my loan kept, as before in an escrow account. Yet it was marked that I did not want one. I promptly called him in California, and told him the error. He became more nervous in voice and said that it was his fault and the notary and I could make the changes, without conditions changing.

I began to realize numbers he used were interest numbers I never had before. It looked like he was lowereing my interest from a 9. Someting to his 8.75. He wrote my first loan interest rate was over 10% I started at 9 and went to a 8.5% I had such a migraine, and all 4 documents swam infront of me. Yet like a jerk I signed. That night I ended up calling an ambulance, due to my high blood pressure.

Then more nightmares began, the cash out took over 3 weeks and I was short over $1200.00. No one would answer me, and everytime I called I felt as if I became the laughing stock of the office. I heard comments in the background that I was on the phone again.

I have several emails from loan officers that I find the right lawyer would love to read.

Then they never put my home in escrow, and I wasn't aware until, I became late with my taxes.By this time, I entered a crisis center, because my state of health had so collapsed, the stress I suffered caused me to have a nervous breakdown.

They use to call me 7 days a week screaming at me for payments, several times a day. Even on a Sunday morning, which they deny, yet I have caller ID. It was 8:30 est. That means they had someone calling at 6am.

I lost my job, because I couldn't walk, without my blood pressure making me ill. Last January I ran out of money and defaulted. They were very quick to start foreclosure proceedings on me. Last May I was admited to the hospital with a cardiac stress attack. I spent 5 days there. All my dreams of owning my own home have been destroyed.

I still have no answer as to why my contract wasn't honored. No one seems to care. I had decent credit and all is gone, my health, job, and soon my home.

I am sorry Ameriquest ever came into my life. They literally attacked me on a campaign to confuse me after learning how vunerable I was. To this day they call and harrass me about my home being in foreclosure.

Yesterday someone called and she wanted to send one of "her real estate agents' to sell my house, as I have my house up for sale. She wanted to know what my house was listed for and if there was a good buyer turnout. They don't stop. I feel destitude and foolish for "buying into thier scheme" They have stripped me of all I was proud of. I will be homeless, after thier lawyers cut into anything.

I pray someone will stop and recognize the fact that they never honored the initial contract to begin with. I would think that would make the contract null and void. Why do BIG companies get away with not following a CONTRACT. Written clear and simple. I am open to any suggestions, I already filed a better business complaint on them and will now file a banking commision complaint. BBB did nothing.

I trust no one anymore. Yet I need help fighting this "big boy"
