An e-mail arrived from Trans-Meridian Dublin Limited offering loans. An internet search reveals Trans-Meridian to be an insurance company with no website (odd but possible).

I responded and the e-mail I received contained a phone number with a UK country code, but the area code was a re-direct number. These numbers are used by scammers to make it look like you're dialing the UK but the call can be transported anywhere in the world. The Ireland directory showed no listing for T-M or Bishop Wales (supposed Head of Loan Processing). The return e-mail address had the prefix for a Trans-Meridian.net that is a cargo company in Peru.

Too many warning signs. Do Not respond to these e-mails. Looks like a scam.
