Trying to get $15000 on a credit card account - closed in 1992

I keep getting calls from a merchants credit guard harrassing me for $15,000 on a credit card supposedly written of by a credit card company in 1992. They threaten to take me to court for this amount and tell me they have all of my personal information on their file, and that this is my bill. Then they say they will take a lesser amount if i pat it in a lump sum. I was out of the country in 1992 and have no idea how and why they are doing this.
