Ripoff to get more late fees. See how they're doing it!

I have two loans with Sallie Mae. One loan is around 70 to 80 dollars a month. The other is now around 200 dollars a month. I was late on making my payments for a long time, however for around the last year I've been paying what the statments say are due. It seems everytime I get a statement, the monthy fee on the most costly one keeps going up.

After calling Sallie Mae, they informed us that we are being charged late fees on both of my loans. My mother pays the lowest one and I pay on the most expensive one. They take the 70 dollars and post it on the one that's 200 dollars making it seem like we're not paying the lesser one and are only paying a little on the costly one. So they charge a late fee on both accounts.

Also they do not have account numbers to specify which account you want to post your money to, only your ss#. But you would think that if you send in a payment for the exact amount of the 70 dollar one, they would post it onto that account.

And man oh man, don't try to consolidate because I tell you, nobody will work with you; even Sallie Mae themselves! I wished I knew that about goverment loans!

The one that's now 200 dollars was waaaaay less that that but it keeps going up which now means I can't pay for it in full every month. That's pretty smooth what they do, however, I'm glad to say that it'll all be paid for in full very soon. My total loan amounts in case anyone's wondering; over 24,000 dollars. It would take over 30 years if I made the min. Payment every month to pay the loans off. I believe I would be give them over 50,000 dollars for only 24,000 dollars! Thanks a lot!
