Misrepresentation

A man called me today on my phone and left a message as if I was in huge trouble and to call me back. The message was so threatening you would think he was the police dept. I thought there was a warrant out for my arrest. Puzzled by the situation of not breaking any laws lately or never been arrested in my life, I decided to give the crook a call. He knew exactly who I was when I called and told me I was being sued and he his with a law firm from California.in shock over what he told me I had past debt in 2003 when I was in college on a credit card. That I don't remember even charging. He had a history of my open credit card accounts currently open and current employment which made me feel even more comfortable... Not. Especially when he asked to put the balance of 2003 on my current credit card. If I did this I would not go to jail, wages would not be garnished, and my life would not be ruined. Misrepresenting and telling the client you are a law firm is illegal. Harassment with garnishing my wages, jail time, and your being sued. I was under the impression he was about to take my first born if I did not pay. This man ruined my end of the day and do not appreciate the harassment. I am reporting them to the attorney general tomorrow hoping they will get enough complaints to end the harassment.
