BEWARE - A complete RIPOFF

Are there an class-action lawsuits out there yet on Associated Tax Relief? If yes, I want in... I'm contacting as many agencies as I can to report this horrendous ripoff scheme in CA.

Those of you looking for tax relief, be very careful about tax service companies that claim that only they can help with your back taxes owed! Trust me, I learned the hard way as others have especially with Associate Tax Relief. I interviewed with several actual law firms that provided tax assistance, all of them wanted payment upfront. The representative who called me from ATR, very smooth, said I could make payments but no action would take place until the $3500.00 fee was paid in full. Two frustrating years later, of feet dragging, extreme difficulty in talking to someone at ATR, my nightmare was realized. I got absolutey nothing for the money. The IRS rejected the settlement offer and penalty abatement request submitted by ATR. The real embarrassment in all this is that ATR actually did something, but more importantly all that they did was something I personally could have done. We all tend to get tied up with anxiety come tax time. But if you have a tax problem, start with yourself and the local IRS office, they're not going to throw you in jail or slap immediate liens on your holdings. They want their money and the local office agents are there to help you. I am currently on a voluntary payment plan with the IRS and it's comforting to know that they are not breathing down my neck, and the payments aren't killing my budget. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't. Patient, heal thyself!
