Fraudulent Billing Practices

This bank is fee hungry institution. We received our bill and paid it off in full. We received a bill the following month with assessed interest. When we called them, we were told by their customer service representative that this was interest that accrued on the account from the time the bill was generated to the time that they received our payment. The customer service representative then told us we had to request a payoff if we were going to pay off the account. The lady then gave us an amount of $0.03 cents more than the interest we were assessed. We have mailed off that payment. I can't wait to see if we get a bill next month for additional interest.
On a side note, we paid off 3 other credit cards and the only thing we received from them was a letter of thanks and all 3 increased our credit limit.
My advise, stay away from Capital One. Their existence and only viability is to assess additional interest on customer's accounts.
