Rip-off! My friend paid them $300 cash and gave his tax id number to get a credit card

My friend does not have internet access. He was told by them that they would not accept a personal check (probably because you can cancel it), they would only take cash or a cashiers check/money order. He sent them cash and his federal tax id number. This sounds like a familiar scam.

The web address is invalid. When you go to Google.net and type in the address, about a half dozen businesses come up such as web site development, collections, etc.
