Ripoff dishonest and very pushy

I was contacted by this company on my cell phone. The individual from Guardian indicated that I had been approved for a Mastercard with a credit limit up to $2000.

When I informed them that I had not applied for a credit card with the company the caller became very pushy and insisted that I had. I ask the call if I have been approved for this credit card then why don't they just send it to me and let me make the decision as to whether or not I want the card. I also inquired about any fees associated with the card. I was then told that there is a one time application processing fee of $249 which can be taken from my checking account.

I informed the caller that I did not have a checking account and if I did why would I provide him with the vital information without knowing anything about his company. I caller asked if I would be opening a checking account within the next two weeks. I responded with if I were to open an account within the next two weeks I still would not be willing to provide him or anyone else with my information. Please do not fall for the calls from this company. If you have been approved for a legitimated unsecured credit card then you would not have to pay such a high processing fee if any.
