GC Services, LLP - Fraudulent Claims - Abusive Employees - Fails To Abide By Federal Laws

Over the past few months my wife and I have been receiving constant calls from GC Services (Shows up on caller ID as OPERATIONS DIVISION)

In speaking with them, they are demanding payment in full for a debt that they refuse to disclose. I have requested multiple times that they send a full validaition of any debt that they claim we owe under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. To this date they have not complied.

In addition, multiple letters, many certified have been sent to their Columbus, Ohio office, as well as their corporate offices demanding to be placed on their "no call" list under the Telephone Solicitation Act.

They state on the phone that they are not required to abide by those laws.

The law states that that debt collectors are merely creditors trying to make a sale, just like any salesperson and are considered by law to be soliciting.

I have had the misfortune to speak with the representatives on multiple occasions, where on one occasion they stated that they are with the Federal Goernment and will have my wife and I arrested if we fail to comply with their wishes.

Their wishes were to supply them with 6 post-dated checks in the amount of $300.00 each. We were to send them by facsimile and then by postal mail, as we were "criminals" and could not be trusted to make payments "like human beings."

On other occasions, threats have been thick with "taking the money whether we like it or not, " and full garnishment of our wages or attaching leins to our house.

We have been referred to as "Criminals, " "Idiots, " "Trash, " and much worse. Many statements by their representitives were laced with profanity.

I can not believe that a company can get away with impersonating a federal employee, breach of FCC rules, threats and implied extortion. I also can not believe that there are no laws to protect consumers from companies such as this.

The company seems to hire the most arrogant, demanding and insulting to place their calls.

It is hoped that somebody in power will eventually get tired of their "above the law" attitude and do something to stop these harrassing and demeaning calls.
