1 ripoff and billed my $200 dollar and tried for another $200

I got this Card in the mail and just like everyone else i thought oh cool, it will help build my credit. I am a Junior in college and am having a baby, so i need help with my credit. And it would be listed as a high limit card, so i thought i would be a good idea.

Well FIRST OFF they, didnt tell me about the $199.00 first time activation fee, and they took that out of my account. Well my account ended up being -$361.00 becasue i had sent out all my bills and so forth, and then the overdraft fees, and late fee.
First off i didnt even know this happened because, i didnt give them permission to take money from me anyway.

Well when i finally figured out what happened i called them imediately because well, i wanted my money back. The girl on the phone was so rude to me, and basically called me an idiot, and told me that i had said yes, or else they wouldnt have been able to take money from me. So im crying on the phone, thinking what the hell am i going to do,

And i ask to speak to a supervisor because, i want that money put back into my account. When he gets on the phone, he says hes deeply sorry, and says he is going to give me $300.00 credit to buy whatever i want so the money will equal out. So im thinking that maybe it wont be too bad because i'll be able to get something out of it. He also told me that if i cancel before may 1st, they wouldnt take any money out of my account. So im now thinking that i'll wait to get this catalog, and see whats in it and then call and cancel. Well i call back after two weeks, seeing i hadnt receieved my catalog, and they said it was on its way, and i asked about my credit and they said there is no such thing, and that there is no way a supervisor would ever say that or do something like that.

So im kind of upset about this, and when my catalog comes its about the second week in april, so i look through it am appauled at how stupid this thing is, so I decide to cancel, and i call this week (THE WEEK OF THE 26TH) and the woman on the phone says to me that, i had to write them a written letter saying that i wanted to cancel the card, and that it had to be recieved three days prior to may 1st because they had already started processing for the money. I said thats not right that you say may 1st and then say that it has to be three days before then. I thought that was wrong, and so i said that nobody told me it had to be written, and so on. I asked if i could fax a letter, and she said no they dont accept faxes. Well im freaking out now thinking OH MY GOD. Thank god i had canceled that bank account. BUT the woman then went on to tell me that, i had to still pay them the money, and that im very irresposible with waiting till the last minute to want to cancel something, and that i had to give them the $200.00. I told my dad about it, and were calling the Attorney General of VT, because this isnt right, and they owe me $200.00 damn it!!!

Beware of them... They disrespect you on the phone, and are very mean. They talk to you like your a five years old, and think that they are right, and try to make people feel little, and think that they really do owe them money

Dont fall for it please i have spent many a nights crying over this
