False Advertising leads to SCAM from Newsmax

Business & Finance

We accepted the offer that this Company, NEWSMAX, makes on the TV for a FREE Book called "After Shock" for FREE with $4.99 for Shipping. If we did not want the newsletters they tried to sell you, we are supposed to call and cancel. As soon as we got the book, we wrote a cancellation letter and cancelled all and any subscription. The letter was not acknowledged. We then called several times. There is no answer in their lines, only a recording machine. We left message after message. To no avail. To date, they have deducted $49, a second deduction of $59 that we have no clue what this is for and this month, 2 deductions of $99 each... in total $300.00. We went to Bank of America and freeze our account, and made a complaint with their Claims department. They are investigating. They tried to clarify the matter by calling the company directly, while we were on the line, but there was no answer. As it has happened to me many times. We have received the newsletters via email, that we did not order and do not want..

The Bank has promised to get us a refund. We then found that there are hundreds of complaints about this Company... DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM, and please, DO NOT give them your credit card. If you have a problem, immediately, close your credit card and block them. THEY RUN A SCAM..
