Got a $200 loan back in 2008. Had them continuely debt my bank account $60 every two weeks until $488 in total was taken. Well more than I should have paid them. Then I opened up a new account because I lost my check book. Never heard anything from Loanpoint USA nor have I ever recieved a phone call, email or any mail from them letting me know that I owed any more money. Got a message from my sister and ex brother in law last week 9 saying a lawyer was trying to contact me.

So I call the next day to find that I will be served a summons to appear in court to get this issue resolved, which still has yet to happen. Got all my paperwork from the bank today and called the "lawyer" come to find out they can not do anything, they are just there to serve summons. WHAT? So now I have to wait to go to court? So I called loanpoint to find out what my balance is and if I can get a statement of some kind but they said since they no longer have my account they can not do anything.

He stated that I need to be accountable for my debts then things like this won't happen. Really? Oh that really got me angry.By no means is this something I am not accountable for! If I knew I had a balance then I would continue to repair this myself. They didn't even give me a chance to do anything about this. So now here I sit in fear of getting served! These people have no morals or values! I wish I never got this $200 to begin with as I could have survived without it... Come to find out.
