Mortgage Payments Left Out Taxes and Insurance, Now Owe $7,000

CitiFinancial is a total ripoff. They pretend to help you just to get a sale. I had to go to another state because my disabled son had an auto accident with his children. He was in critical condition, and it was not certain whether he would live or die. He stayed in a coma for over 6 months, had liver and kidney failure, and both grandchildren were taken by social services because the wife could not handle the situation. I needed cash fast and had to use money from house payments because I am a single parent.

I trusted them to take care of my problems and help me. Instead, I got low mortgage payments with no insurance and no taxes added into the payments. They did not tell me this, and I signed papers thinking they were doing what was best for me at the time. Now I owe over $7,000 in taxes and cannot afford insurance.

I confronted them about the taxes and insurance not being included, and all they could say was that I signed the papers. I tried to get the loan refinanced and learned that the two ladies, the supervisor named Sarah and the worker Shawna, both talked badly about me to the company I was trying to get refinanced through.

The company changed its name 3 weeks after all this happened and relocated the two women to another city. I have heard they did this to several families, gaining their trust, refinancing their homes and even giving them other loans using their cars as collateral, knowing they were on the borderline of not being able to pay, or just not giving them all the information, such as interest rates and/or letting them know they have to pay their taxes separately.

Had they been honest, I could have paid the taxes monthly so they would not have gotten behind. Now I have to figure something out so I won't lose the house that I live in with my two grandchildren that I ended up adopting.
