Global Financial Benefits
Ripoff by phone for mastercard with fake phone number for credit limit of 2500 Nationwide

Business & Finance

My husband received a phone call one Sunday evening from a company calling itself Financial Benefits. They offered this great deal for a Mastercard with a credit limit of 2500 with a monthly cash withdrawal of 500.

My husband handed the phone to me and I was told the only way they could provide this amount of unsecured credit was with a one time processing fee of $299 to be deducted by check by phone on April 2. They made set up the date I would like to have my payments to automatically come out each month for the 15th of every month.

I agreed and gave a woman the necessary information. She even asked me if I had any children while she tried to get her supervisor to transfer me. Then I was transferred to another person who would "record" the conversation and verify my information. His name was Mark. He then went through the process and also gave me the company's number, but he said it really fast and did not repeat it.

Lucky for me I got it correctly. The conversation was ended and he thanked me and gave me a reciept number and hung up. I didn't think anything of it until the following friday day before it was to come out. I decided to call the number. But when I called it was a conference call number and said to enter my passcode with no way to get to a person.

I hung up and called directory assistance and found a financial benefits, but when I called I got a mortgage company who told me they get at least 10 calls daily about this company really called Global Financial who is a scam and not to let them take money if I already hadn't. He said they were based out of New York. I thanked him and called directory assistance again with the new information and was given another number 18773488324.

I called it and low and behold it was an answering machine for Mr. Brian Griffith. The machine beeped and I made my husband leave a message to call us back... Called my bank and cancelled the check. We were almost scammed out of alot of money we didn't have. Please call this Brian Griffith and give him a peace of your mind and maybe he will stop doing this. Maybe not.
