Under Investigation

On November 5, I hired William T. O'Toole (Attorney) and his "legal" group, Summit Legal Group, P.A. To assist me with a modification. Despite numerous representations by Summit Legal that they were providing my mortgage company documentation and negotiating a modification with them, they were not. They continued these misrepresentations for months and belittled me into thinking that I was a horrible person for questioning them. My mortgage company provided me with written documentation to show that the only contact received was an authorization and one phone call after I had completed my own modification. For which Summit Legal tried to take credit for obtaining when they did not, I provided the documents to the mortgage company and obtained this modification myself because they were doing nothing.

Presently as of July Mr. O'Toole was placed on emergency suspension by the Florida Bar Association for "causing great public harm" as quoted in the petition filed.

If you hired Summit Legal and believe you have not received what you paid for, please contact the Florida Bar and Florida Attorney General. Let's try to keep these gentlemen from doing this to others, there are already way too many people suffering from their wrongdoings. Many have lost their homes or almost lost because they trusted in this company and these gentlemen.
