Ripoff Very sneaky practices, reps are misleading

My boyfriend has had a Charter One account for a few years. Last year they allowed him to withdraw funds he did not have and did not notify him for a month (at $30 every 4 days), so he asked for over draft protection, which they charged him a one time fee of $75 to change the account. Now once again this year he had an over draw and again they took a month to notify him, letting him continue to with draw in the mean time, still charging $30 every 4 days PLUS another monthly fee because he does not use his Master Check card for in store purchases 3 times a month or more.

Their auto finance department is also a rip off. Last year I paid over $200 to have a payment of $368 deferred for one month (April). This was supposed to put that payment at the end of the loan and make the following months (May) payment due at the regularly scheduled time.

I told them I was actually going to send half of the following months payment right away (in April) and pay the rest of it by the actual due date (May). They agreed to this. But then I get a late notice making BOTH payments due by the time of the regularly scheduled May payment. I would have been better off just making the late payment, just $50 more than the regular payment!!!
