Ripoff!

I just received a copy of my credit report and guess what's on it? It states Palisades Collections akd OSI Portfolio Services says I owe $187 plus interest to them for an AT&T bill I never had. I have always used the same phone company for as long as I can remember which I am still with, and it's not AT&T!

I first called this number 1-800-425-0006 and spoke to someone in India, which is the new so called "Call Center", this person was very rude and hateful and said I owed this amount and need to pay it!!! I argue with them forever and spoke with a so called Supervisor who gave me another number which was 1-866-877-0008 and told me I would need to speak with someone there. I called that number and spoke with someone in (Guess?) India. It is pretty sad that I country is coming to this, where ALL call centers are now in other countries!

Well, I spoke with someone there who gave me another number to AT&T and to talked to them about this debt. I called AT&T and spoke with someone who stated that they could not help me, that I would have to call customer service at AT&T... Whom I thought I was already calling. I waited and waited on the phone during my lunch time when I finally had to hang up. I will be calling again when I have more time to hang on the line for service!

When I was talking to the first number called they told me that the phone company I had (and still do have) leased out time to AT&T for long-distance service and it was billed to my phone number and was on my bill that I received monthly. I don't remember any of this being billed on my present phone company's bill from back in 1998. I told them I never had long-distance with AT&T and they stated that they didn't care it I owed it or not that it would be on my credit report until it was paid, they were very rude, like I stated above. We need to do something about this company and AT&T, as AT&T is not helping either!

I hope that this will help other people that is having trouble getting their credit report cleared up too!!!
