Preferred Tax Relief
All in One Tax Services and Michael Hepworth, EA Preferred tax Relief Disappeared and didn't work on my case and now ALL IN ONE is contacting me

I was a client of Preferred Tax Relief. I signed up with them earlier this year... I have tried to reach them for over 2 months and I have gotten nowhere! All of a sudden I get this letter from All In One Tax Services in El Segundo, CA telling me that Michael Helpworth EA wants me to contact a Marvin Adler at 800-773-8147 to discuss my options. The letter says this,

"It has come to my attention that you may have some outstanding tax issues with Preferred Tax Relief. As you may also know, the company has now closed and I have acquired access to your file. Please call my associate Marvin Adler at 800-773-8147 to discuss your options."

What the hell is this all about?! First off, why can't they call ME and tell ME that my case is being worked on or NOT. I am afraid I have been scammed but I just don't know how all of this works. Why would a company "now close" without telling me, and then I get a mysterious letter. Is this legal, someone please let me know what I can do. I don't want to call, I'm fearing they might want to sell me for more of my hard earned money. I have already reported this company to the FTC and Disctrict Attorney's office and I'm about to send this letter the the DA as well!
