I am a Mystery Shopper, working with legitimate companies. I ran across a company and the pay was above average so I 'applied' to it. They send me an 'assignment' and it was to receive a $2450.00 check via Federal Express, turn around and cash it at my bank, and keep $450.00 for myself for pay and purchases at nearby stores to report on their Customer Service. Then send $2000 through Western Union, and shop Western Union as to how they handle you as the customer. I got the check from Federal Express yesterday.
I became suspicious when they didn't respond to any of my emails. Then, I couldn't find a website for them. I had a bad feeling by this time, so I went onto consumer complaintss and after searching for awhile, I typed in Western Union. That's when I found several scenerios like I just discribed.
I called the bank it was written on, and it was under their name Kallman Worldwide, but THE ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED! Surprise, surprise! The Banker told me I should take it to the local authorities. My Daddy always says, if it sounds too good to true, it probably is!!!
How can a company be so mean??? Shame on these blatant criminals! Mystery Shoppers are usually a legitimate way to make a little extra cash, but they don't need to have someone giving their industry a bad name!
