Trying to foreclose. Rip-off!

In Oct our bankruptcy was discharged. The whole 4 years we were in b/r Fairbanks' attorney, Jaffe, sent us letters telling us we were 5-6 months behind. We always provided receipts.
In May after providing him receipts from the time we filed b/r, he withdrew his motion for relief, stating that "these people have paid their bills." Our first two statements after the discharge stated account current, no late fees, then in February we receive the March statement indicating they want over $18,000.00.
The next day we receive a demand letter for over $19,000.00 by March 2. My atty wrote them a letter disputing their claim (which according to the law, they have to stop all actions once it is disputed). On February 26, they sent another demand letter, six days before the $19,000.00 was due, and a week after they signed for the letter my atty sent. This demand letter had added on another $6,000.00. Now they want $25,000.00 and allegedly have until March 26 to pay.
I hope I am one of the lucky ones since I work for an atty and I also have my b/r attorney in on this. They are trying to say that since May when their atty verified we were current, we have missed approximately 17 payments. For the life of me I can't understand with all the bad publicity, what does it take to shut this place down?
