Took $300 out of my checking acct unauthorized ripoff to consumers

I put in a request for a mortgage over the internet. I was approved. Call was made to my home on a Friday and I was told that for $300 we could get started. I gave my checking account info over the phone. At no time was I told of the interest rate. Loan papers came to my Mother's computer the following Monday and at that time I see almost 10% interest rate was going to be charged.in this short time, Money Tree took the $300 out of my account. I called them, faxed them, advised them I didn't want this loan. I never authorized anything in writing to secure this loan. This was done on 6/22/03 and they won't return my $300. Anyone else have a problem with them?
