Took $1700.00 out of my checking to do a loan modification and have a paper saying if they couln't get it modified I would get my money back. That hasn't happened

US Mortgage Funding took $1700.00 out of my checking in May of to do a loan modification. It didnot go through and I have documents saying that I would get my money back. That has not happened yet.
