Ripoff unauthorized deduction from checking account

I checked my bank statement and noticed $79.95 deducted from my checking account for CIC Credit Monitor. I emailed my bank immediately and told them not to ever honor anything with this name as I had never heard of it.

I had ordered a free credit report from FreeCreditProfile which was to be one single report and cancelled it in writing within 10 days. I received a confirmation that this had been done and assumed that was the end of it. When I called them regarding the above, they claimed they were not related to CIC. I spoke to Joseph at CIC, ID# 60029, explained the situation, told him that the attorney general had given me their number and was waiting for me to call them back with my results.

According to Joseph, the full amount will be back in my checking account before the end of this week. If not, they will be hearing from me again thru the attorney general.indiana takes consumer fraud very seriously so I've not doubt this will happen.
