Josh Leventhal promises to help get you a rent to own house through one of the thousands of investors he does business with. He charges $2000 to do so. The client finds a house, he finds the investor, you rent for the investor for a specific amount of months, usually 2-3 years. You buy the property from the investor and you are credited 30% of the rent payments toward purchasing the home. I paid my money, found a house and had to put a $7000 downpayment on the house and we waited to find out when the closing would be. After a week or two I contacted Josh, he said the investor backed out but he had others, not to worry. Well the same thing happened. He told us to find a different house, same thing. Finally I told him I wanted my money back, he said it was tied up. When I kept asking for the money, he told me the company was closing and he was filing for bankruptcy.

I did some digging and found out he had filed for personal bankruptcy 6 months before he took my money and then had the bankruptcy dismissed 3 months after he took my money. I knew he was playing me and a lot of other people. I filed complaints with the FTC, RI Attorney General, Ma Attorney General, FBI, and Channel 12 Investigators. I had left him several messages on his business phone because he was rent2ownconnect, now rent2owndealz and now when you call his phone it is The national housing dept. Well he finally called back telling me not to bash him, that would not help me get my money back, and he was coming to my house to see me face to face, which he never showed up and said because of writing things on line, which everythiong I say is the truth, now I am on the bottom of the list to get paid back. He called me a b* several times. We went back and forth for about 5-10 minutes and he hung up. He wasn't too happy about Channel 12 contacting him. I will go away when he gives me my money back!
