Financed $38,497.03 on a home 14 years ago & the balance is $35,869.30

My complaint is that I purchased a mobile home over 14 years ago for $38,497.03. As of today the pay off on the mobile home is $35,869.30. The interest rate is 12% and the length of the loan is 25 years. There is something very wrong with this type of loan and it is my understanding that these loans are no longer available.

I have my mobile home in a park and several other people around me have the same mortgage company and the same problem. These loans are designed to never get paid off. This is a rip off to the consumer and I think a class action suit should be brought against Vanderbilt Mortgage! Any lawyer out there interested in taking on these cases? This should definitely be considered a crime.
