Overlimit & Late Fees - even after agreement with Debt Co - Now going to Court

Household Bank aggreed back 6 months ago to accept the payment offered by the Debt Management Co. I had chose. Then in Dec the Debt Management Co was being investigated by the FTC. I therefore dropped the Debt Management Co and sent letters to all my Credit Card Co. That I was dropping the Debt Management Co. And would continue to pay the aggreed amount my self.

Eveything seemed fine, until I got a letter from a Law Office, located in MD, in Jan asking me to pay the complete amount due. I sent them the aggreed amount and asked them to contact me, which they never did. I again received a statement from the Law Offices in Feb which I sent them the aggreed amount. Well today 2/20/04 I received a letter that they were taking me to Court for non-payment and to pay the full amount due.

What did I do wrong??? I felt I was living up to my aggreement
