Ripoff dishonest, fraudulent, bad customer service, a very poorly run bank, This place is run by morons, and employs morons

I am amazed that this bank is still in business. I am now finding out why some people I know refuse to do business with them.

Our problems started when my husbands father died. He had outstanding credit cards that we had to pay off. We paid them then asked Fifth Third to close his account. We continued to get statements for the credit card, and called again and asked them to close the account. Well, its nearly two years, and dozens of calls later and they still have not closed the account. My father in law's estate has been closed for many months, so we just began writing deceased on the envelope and sending the statements back. I opened one we got a couple months ago, and noticed there were new charges! We destroyed the actual credit card over a year ago! Now we are recieving collection notices from them.

My personal beef with them is their overdraft services. With any other bank I have used, when I am overdrawn it wont let me use my ATM card. It says denied. With them they let you go over, then charge you $30, plus $6 each day youre over! A very good reason to keep a tight watch on your checkbook.

My sister in law had a loan with them. When it came time to make her final payment she called to get the amount and paperwork. They said they would call her back and never did. She made continual calls for months with no resolve. Nearly a year later, she finally wrote them and told them she would conisder the loan paid in full unless she heard from them by the end of the week. Of course that got their attention.

And of course you have to love the drive through teller that forgot her mic was on and called my friend a stupid bitch.

This place is run by morons, and employs morons.

What kind of bank doesnt want to close a loan???

Thankfully my husband and opened a new account at a different bank, and will no longer have to deal with this joke of a business.
