US Bank
Ripoff, over charges customers on overdrafts, no calls to customer, delayed mail adds more charges, no customer service

Business & Finance

On April 3 I had received in the mail a "Notice of Insufficient Funds" from my bank, US Bank, Hugo Office, 14431 Forest Blvd. No., Hugo, MN 55038,651-429-7758. I was shocked to see seven checks had been sent through and charged an overdraft charge of $32.00 each.

My bank for which I had been banking through for over 12 years, couldn't even give me a call the day it happened and alert me that there must be an error in my account, to allow me to put a deposit in or a transfer before any other checks cleared.By the time the letter reached me, two days later and past the 3:00 pm cutoff deadline for a deposit or transfer (basically three business days), another seven checks had also went through.

That was a total of $448.00 of overdraft charges. If they would have looked to see I had never had that many checks pass without sufficient funds before and that there must be something wrong for that to happen.US Bank also sent the highest check through first and the lesser ones after, which also attributed to the high-assessed charges.

If they would have looked at my account, that as soon as I had received the first "Notice of Insufficient Funds", I transferred money as soon as possible.

Why has banking became a non-customer oriented business and is so anxious to charge as many times and as much as possible to even there long-term customers? There needs to be a change... To care about the customers and not solely the money they can make off of them.
The settlement I would like to have from US Bank is a minimum of half of the 14 charges credited back to my account.

Please assist me in any way that you can, it will be greatly appreciated.
