I started NCRC about two years ago and they were nothing but trouble. My proposals weren't accepted by creditors, they weren't receiving their payments and if they did get it it was late. My payments were automatically debited from my checking account so there should have been no reason the creditors weren't paid on time. But sure enough I would check my credit card statement the next time and what would I see? Payment late so there was a late fee and then the creditor would cancel the proposal and NCRC would take 2-3 months to send a new one in.
I took my case to my attorney and the state attorney general's office. After they checked out my credit report, my credit card statements and my checking account statements they agreed with me that this was not right and suggested writing to the company first, stating I was cancelling because of breach of contract on their part and that I want my deposit back.
I did this and received a letter from NCRC stating that since I didn't finish the program they would not be giving my deposit back. I have brought this to the attention of my attorney and will keep you posted on the results, any additional info or help is much appreciated.
