Collected money and we never saw a penny from it, now are out of business, or so I am told

I was contacted by this company many times and after being persuaded I decided to go ahead. I figured some money was better than none. I started to handle my case with one specific worker, after a couple months I had never heard a thing, so I called back only to be informed that he was no longer with the company. So I spoke to another person who would be taking care of my case, she said that they had settled on 30% of the debt which was never told to me. And said she would be sending us a check for our part. That was 4 months ago, never received a thing. I called today to find out that the company is now "out of business". What a shame. We got scammed to begin with only to be scammed by another company. I will be sure to check this website before making any more stupid mistakes like that again!!! DO NOT use this company, unless you like being ripped off.
