CBO Collections Charging Interest on $0 Principal & Tried to Trick me into agreements

I have been paying respectfully a debt that I felt was prematurely turned over to this company, until I missed a payment in February due to being out of town for a business trip. Upon returning, communication was made with CBO's Kim. She was informed that I forgot to mail out the check 10 days early before leaving town and would put it in the mail for her. This was on March 7 according to my phone records. On March 10, I received a letter stating I was uncooperative and refusing to communicate and would need to pay the full amount of be taken into legal actions! I was shocked and appauled!

I figured it had to have been a cross in the mail and waited to see if my check I mailed them cleared. It did not and I received another notice of the same nature. I called and had to leave a voicemail since no one answered. I then began to review my statements and seen that in 2 1/2 years, I had brought the balance down by over 75%, had technically missed one payment and felt it was rather harsh to threaten legal action at this point. Finally, I received a RUDE phone call from Kim that I had not paid them and that I needed to come in and sign for them to garnish my wages rather than mailing a check or dropping one off as I had always done. This is illegal and harrassment! I am still trying to make sense of the commission of 33.33% on top of the interest charge and principal.
