I met Bob Clippard at a baseball game. He said his son was a baseball pitcher for the Yankees. It turns out that was about the only thing true Bob told us. I am a single senior and found him a little aggressive on the phone and in person. He called about four times trying to get me to agree to go out with him on a business date to talk about my retirement. I hated to accept it but he must have caught me at a weak moment. He smelled like Hai Karate after shave and cigarettes.

We went up in his plane, an old jalopy that I was terrified to get in. He said he had years of experience as a pilot and not to worry about it. He was going to just fly us around the Clearwater, FL area to get a "New Vision" of my surroundings. He turned on the Bee Gees "Stain' Alive" over the radio and put his hand on my leg. I had known this guy not even one full day. I took his hand off my leg and he felt insulted.
