Account Closed - CareCredit Card

I opened a Care Credit account a couple of years ago when my husband needed to have dental work done. The first time I used it, I paid the card off in a couple of months. I didn’t have any problems. The second time that I used the card has been a whole different ball game. One of my dogs had to have an emergency spay. I got on line and found out my Care Credit card was still active and useable. I went ahead and had both of my babies fixed. I put it all on that stupid card. One week later. I paid the balance before I received the bill. Without skipping a beat, I received the bill showing I had not paid anything. I got on line and no matter what I did, I could not log in. I called the number on the bill and of course got the recorded message asking A LOT of questions. Just to say, in my own words, “Ha! Sucks to be you. Your account has been closed”. Click! “What”? How could it be? I just used it and paid it off. I called the number back and got the same mouthy recording. So I pushed a bunch of random numbers and finally got transferred to a human. Of course I couldn’t understand her and she didn’t get it. I asked her to transfer me to a manager. After several minutes, I was transferred to someone who identified herself as a manager. She told me yes your balance is zero and your account has been closed due to inactivity? I said, “WHAT? I just used it. Turn it back on”! She said, “Sorry I can’t do that but you can write a letter to our El Paso office and ask them to explain what happened”. I said, “Give me the number”. She, of course, didn’t have one for them but she was more than happy to give me the address. Well, I never! Just keep your stupid credit card. I don’t need you anyway! Today I received an email saying: You already have Care Credit in your wallet. Why not enjoy the benefits? Plus, you can use your card again and again* — without having to reapply — at more than 140,000 providers† for yourself, your family and even your pets.
