Possibly Aka AAMES Home Loans ripoff, constant harrassment, out right rude

Originally had a loan with Aames Home Loan they sold it to Fairbanks two months later and no one notified us of the transfer of sale to a new lender. Then when the monies where transfered from Aames Home Loan to Fairbanks, Fairbanks calls us and says we are behind 1 month on our mortgage, we tell them no, that we sent our payment to Aames Home Loan, and Fairbanks should contact Aames in Arizona. Will they never did, so we called AAmes and told them what had happen and Aames said Oh! We sent them all the payments and tell them to call us, we'll explain it to them. Will these two companies never gave acknowledgement to me, as to weather they spoke to each other.

I sent Fairbanks copies of everything showing payments made, and current but it did no good. I contacted Aames Home Loans and asked why they sold it to such a ignorent company. They acted surprised when I told them all the problems I got due to the sale of transfer but brushed it off. I received six calls a day almost everyday from Fairbanks telling me I was a payment behind they were so rude on the phone, their language and attitude was very unacceptable, they would not listen to explanations on our part.

We got charged with late payment fees every month, constant threat calls, harassments, nothing was working to solve this problem and more problems arised out of this. We got transfered to Texas for the job, and purchased the house in Houston, Texas since the stress of owning this house became only a burden for several reasons with no relief in sight we walked from the house in Texas and pretty much dumped it into Fairbanks hands and returned to California.

Yes! Like some of thee others on this site our credit was difintely damaged by Fairbanks, and I truly disliked them, but I now have my sanity back, and I don't have to deal with them anymore. Stay away from this company be very careful getting a home loan many lenders later sell your loan off to someone else and you could be stuck wth your worst nightmare, ask your lender all these questions before you sign. I hope they can close down Fairbanks. Good luck to all who still have homes with them!!!
