We refinanced our mortgage through Aames. Within a month they sold it to Fairbanks Capital Corp.
Fairbanks has called and threatened us even when payments were made and already in their computers. One woman even told me that I could make all the payments I wanted, they didn't have to accept them.
Our payment is due the first of the month. The grace period goes to the 16th of the month. We don't receive our payment coupons or statements till the 17th of the month. Apayment made without the payment coupon takes 2-3 wks. To be put on the account. So every payment will be late.
Sometimes we don't receive the coupons or statements at all, even though we have repeatedly requested them. Everyone says it's not their job. When we tried to refinance with another company, Fairbanks did not want to give them the payoff. It took so long for them to send the payoff that it made us behind on our payments.
